Differences Between UVA & UVB Rays
Sunlight consists of 2 types of harmful rays that reach the earth, ultraviolet A (UVA) rays & ultraviolet B (UVB) rays.
Even on cloudy days, up to 80% of the sun’s harmful UV rays can penentrate your skin.
UVA RAYS
The UVA Rays can prematurely age your skin, causing wrinkles and age spots, also it can pass through window glass.
UVB RAYS
The UVB Rays are the primary cause of sunburn and are blocked by window glass.
What is SPF?
UVA Protection needs to be at least one third of the SPF.
For daily application , use a broad spectrum (UVA/UVB)sunscreen with an SPF15 of at least 15.
For extended outdoor activity, use a water-resistant , broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30.
